Throughout my life I have lived in countries that influence and re-define my cultural identity. Moving from South America to North America, I am exposed to variations of light, texture, color, and immense cultural, social, and political differences.
My art is made like my journeys are made: a combination of walking as a manner of stepping away from the comfort zone of my studio to explore inspiration and new experiences. I explore spaces between opacity and visibility, memory, displacement, and universal notions of global identity; concerns I strive to understand.

Thank you once again Cris for the most enjoyable and very productive workshop. I am excited to venture to new territory in my paintings. We drove home last night (4.5 hrs) but just wanted to share that I showed my husband your painting of the lighthouse. He loved it said it looked like a photograph and was amazed at the detail , said she really knows her “stuff”. Lol. Anyways. Thanks again, here’s hoping we cross paths once again.
